I am a London-based amateur photographer. This website is my opportunity to share some selected highlights of my work with a wider audience.
I took up photography at the age of 16, teaching myself using firstly basic automatic film cameras, then moving on to SLRs and DSLRs. Over twenty years later, I have far less time to spend setting up intricate arrangements for a macro shot and many of my images are now my documenting of my family growing up.
Swapping a camera bag for a nappy bag has helped focus my mind by forcing me to ration how much equipment I take out - gone are the days where I'd take a tripod, telephoto, extension tubes and flash 'just in case'.
I have always lived near London and moved here in 2009. I am increasingly aware that many of my images of London show scenes that no longer exist as the city constantly remakes itself.
